Rokuhara-ryu is not just about putting ingredients on a skewer and deep-frying them; it's an authentic Kansai-style kushikatsu where carefully selected ingredients are pre-cooked, coated in a secret batter, and then deep-fried to a crisp and low-calorie finish.

October 1982 (Showa 57)
The first owner, Yoshiko Hojo, together with head chef Hidejiro Yamaguchi, opened "Rokuhara," an authentic Kamigata-style kushikatsu restaurant, at its current location.
April 1989 (Heisei 1)
Rokuhara Co., Ltd. established.
August 1999
Masako Hojo becomes the second representative director
2001 (Heisei 13)
Kyoto cuisine restaurant "Hojo" opened.
April 2008 (Heisei 20)
The store was expanded (integrated renovation) and reopened.
August 2009 (Heisei 21)
Expanding the seating area and focusing the menu solely on kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers), the Kyoto-style skewer restaurant "Rokuhara" was born.
