Kushiage, a traditional dish
The Rokuhara style of Kamigata-style skewers brings out the flavor of seasonal ingredients, pre-seasoning each ingredient in Kyoto style, coating them in a secret batter, and deep-frying them in carefully selected lard until crispy and low in calories. Served with three types of homemade sauces, salt, sansho pepper, and mustard.

For a higher-class banquet
Enjoy seasonal flavors and smiles alike at this premium banquet. This course menu, featuring classic skewers such as fresh shrimp and Wagyu beef, as well as seasonal seafood and vegetables, is available for groups of four or more. We can also discuss menus to suit your budget. A private room can also be rented for private banquets, accommodating up to 32 people.


THE CHEF
Mr. Hidejiro Yamaguchi
Hidejiro Yamaguchi
The head chef has established a unique style of kushiage using Japanese-style dashi stock.
Born in Kyoto Prefecture in 1943, he aspired to become a chef after being strongly encouraged by his aunt. He began his culinary training at Chiruku, a long-established kushiage restaurant founded in 1946. He then helped launch Rokuhara in 1982, becoming both manager and head chef. Rather than simply skewering carefully selected ingredients, he established an original style that adds a little extra effort, and has been at the forefront of Rokuhara's cuisine for over 40 years.

Our proud dish
Our kushiage (deep-fried skewers) are made with carefully selected ingredients, covered in a unique batter, and then deep-fried in high-quality lard. The deliciousness is determined by the exquisite combination of the rich flavor of the lard and the crispy breadcrumbs. Deep-frying with the skill of a craftsman with many years of experience elevates the flavor.

Carefully selected ingredients
We source ingredients with a focus on freshness, and they are rich in seasonal ingredients.
They use seasonal ingredients carefully selected at Toyosu Market every morning. One of their specialties is combining ingredients such as fish and vegetables, or meat and vegetables. They simmer the ingredients in Japanese broth before skewering them, allowing you to enjoy the aroma.

Style of hospitality
We understand the tastes of our guests and create the best course plan. When repeat customers make reservations, we create a menu using only ingredients that suit their preferences from our selection of over 30 ingredients. From the reservation stage to purchasing and serving the food, we always keep their preferences in mind and plan a menu just for them.

A relaxing space where you can enjoy conversation to your heart's content while waiting for the next skewer. In addition to a counter with 18 seats, there are also private rooms and table seating. A space filled with warm hospitality that can be used for any occasion, perfect for enjoying a meal with friends or family. This kushiage specialty restaurant is also popular with guests from overseas.
